Entrepreneurship as a driving force
What does she enjoy most about entrepreneurship? Flexibility, variety, and above all, the wealth of human connections. Each day brings fresh encounters, new perspectives, and unexpected experiences.
Bavarian life at the heart of intercultural exchange
For Marie, Munich is an ideal setting: intercultural diversity, vast green spaces, the ability to get everywhere by bike, plus the proximity of mountains and lakes. Deeply engaged in the local community, she co-organizes Munich’s Sustainable Development Forum, an event that highlights francophone and francophile initiatives in this field.
Through her decluttering service, she also raises awareness about giving objects a second life and about recycling — convinced that every gesture matters in protecting the environment.
Her advice to families newly arrived in Munich? “Let yourself be surprised by the city, stay open, and go beyond clichés about Bavarians. Behind an apparent reserve often lies a warm heart.”
A trusted bridge at Axiom Academic
When asked to describe her role as Country Manager for Germany, Marie smiles: “I sometimes compare myself to a kind of matchmaking club — in the best sense of the word.” In practice, she connects families with tutors, paying special attention to fully understanding their needs. Her goal: to ensure the tutor is the best possible fit.
What drives her each day is the desire to support families and see students make progress. She loves contributing to that moment when a student regains confidence, improves academically, and rediscovers the joy of learning.
Her greatest satisfactions are simple yet essential: “It’s a joy and a real pleasure when students raise their grades, when the chemistry works with the tutor, and when the time invested truly pays off.”
Traveling, breathing, sharing
Outside of work, Marie lives for travel and the discovery of new cultures. Athletic and nature-loving, she cycles through Munich and heads out on hikes in the surrounding region.
Her favorite spot to share with friends and family is the English Garden, a 375-hectare park in the heart of the city that combines greenery, activities, and a welcoming atmosphere.
As for resources, she swears by a simple but effective method to learn languages: watching well-known cartoons in the target language. It’s a trick that helped her during her studies — and one she still passes on today.
